A2B to attempt Guinness World Record
A2B is proud to be participating as a part of the first Ride the Future Tour, an electric parade across the USA starting off on the 4th of July, 2013.
In just one month's time, A2B, along with a great array of electric vehicles will start out on a 44 day trek to raise the profile of electric vehicles and their benefits for the environment as well as raise funds for charities in each of the towns and cities the fleet stop in.
Visit the Ride the Future Tour website to see if the tour is visiting your city and how you can get involved to ride and A2B for a portion of the trip.
Guinness World Record Attempt
As a part of the Ride the Future Tour, A2B along with cyclist, journalist and travel adventurer Ben Hopkins, will attempt to secure the record for the longest journey on an electric (motorised) bicycle. The tour will travel 3,000 miles across the USA and Ben will ride an Alva+ the entire way, keeping us all updated along the way.
Barely had he learnt to walk and Ben was put on a bicycle and let loose through the country lanes of central England. Over four decades on and this cycling enthusiast lists the Himalayas and an overland crawl from Thailand to England amongst his epic cycle tour achievements.
A writer and cartoonist, Ben works as a freelance writer in Thailand, where he has resided for the past ten years. Ben will be writing and sketching his way across the USA thrilled to welcome along anyone who wants to join our electric and eclectic jamboree.
Ben is thrilled to be taking on the A2B Challenge and we look forward to sharing his experiences along the way.
